3 Day Wildlife Safari – Murchison Falls National Park

Day one: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park
Today will start with a 4 – 5 hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park.  Your driver-guide will safely deliver you to the top of this magnificent water fall where you will enjoy the sight of the mighty Nile as it is narrowed and falls over a series of cascades. After this, continue to the southern bank ready to cross the Nile by a scheduled ferry and go for an evening game drive.  This is believed to be a most rewarding time to watch the animals as they go about feeding at leisure.  Among the wildlife you can expect to see are Giraffes, Elephants, Buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeests, Lion(s), Uganda kobs, Oribs Warthogs among many others. Another beautiful sight is the array of bird life along the savannah plains.  After watching sunset you will be transported to your lodge where you can enjoy a tasty dinner and peaceful night’s sleep.

Day two: Game drive and Victoria Nile river cruise
Today is packed with excitement! Your driver-guide will meet you at a pre-arranged time after breakfast and embark on a half-day game drive on the northern bank of the Nile.  Wildlife in this area includes Giraffe, Elephants, Hartebeests, Lion(s), Uganda Kob  Oribis and a variety of Savannah and woodland birds. Once the game drive has concluded you will be returned to your lodge for lunch and a short rest.  In the afternoon you can enjoy a cruise on the Victoria Nile and enjoy all the wildlife along the way.  After this relaxing cruise you will be delivered to your lodge for dinner and rest. 

Day three: Murchison Falls National Park – Kampala
After an early breakfast, it’s check out time and once again cross the Nile again on the scheduled ferry.  From here you will proceed to Budongo Forest for a half day Primate Walk in search of primates. This forest is home to the black and white colobus monkey; red tailed monkey, baboon, grey cheeked mangabeys and chimpanzee.  Along the way back to Kampala you will stop in Masnidi town for lunch.  This town is one of the oldest in Uganda known as the place Humphrey Bogart and Katheryn Hepburn stayed while filming “The African Queen”.  Your driver-guide will deliver you to your Kampala lodging safe and sound.
