KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL  PARK

Kadepo Valley National Park is located in north eastern Uganda in the valleys between Sudan and Kenya.  It covers 1,442 square km (557 square mi).  Because of the park’s location it is known as the most isolated park in Uganda.  However, many agree Kadepo Valley National Park is the most magnificent in the country.  The park was gazetted as a game reserve in 1958 by the British colonial government then upgraded to National Park status in 1962.

Within the park you will find 77 varieties of mammal including the cheetah, lion, leopard, bat-eyed fox, giraffe, and zebra.  Along with these mammals you will also find more than 475 bird species. This is a bird watchers wonderland.
